A "Blue and Gold Banquet" is a celebratory event primarily held by Cub Scout packs to mark the anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America's founding on February 8, 1910, typically featuring a meal, awards ceremony, skits, songs, and recognition of leaders and scouts, all while incorporating blue and gold decorations, representing the colors of Scouting; it's essentially a "birthday party" for the organization where families come together to celebrate Scouting achievements and camaraderie. Although it celebrates a February birthday, over time and based on scheduling needs, organizations hold the celebration "around February."
For Cub Pack 315, our Blue & Gold Banquet is combined with our Arrow of Light Crossover ceremony. Arrow of Light Scouts receive/earn their rank and officially crossover into a Scouts BSA Troop, where they will continue their adventures in Scouting. Lion, Tiger, Wolf, Bear, and Webelos dens also do a rank award presentation for those who have completed their rank requirements by the date of the banquet.
